The MOC3081 is a 6-Pin DIP Zero-Cross Optoisolator. The MOC3081 consists of gallium arsenide infrared emitting diodes optically coupled to monolithic silicon detectors performing the function of Zero Voltage Crossing bilateral triac drivers. The MOC3081 is designed for use with a triac in the interface of logic systems to equipment powered from 240 Vac lines, such as solid–state relays, industrial controls, motors, solenoids and consumer appliances, etc. Applications are (1)Solenoid/Valve Controls; (2)Temperature Controls; (3)Lighting Controls; (4)E.M. Contactors; (5)Static Power Switches; (6)AC Motor Starters; (7)AC Motor Drives; (8)Solid State Relays.
